  Form study that aims at the creation of an audiovisual language capable of communicating social experiences and personal observations on individuality.

puntito_machine

• about:

  Built around the theme of individuality, this audiovisual performance brings a clever and personal way of exploring this social behavior. Using a digitally augmented machine that evokes an industrial apparatus, the artist proposes a poetic metaphor for this hardly definable subject aiming to make it perceivable through sound and light. With the help of various sensors, light and shadows projections coming from the machine and electroacoustic sounds controlled in real time, Puntito_machine exploits forms and symbols that refer to our individual and the way it relates to the others. This contradiction between personal and collective, internal and peripheral, singular and multiplied etc. nourishes the structural part of this work while a simple geometric form establishes the bases for the conceptual and aesthetic aspects. In the center of the visualization and musicalizing effort of the theme of individuality, the circle, with all his common and abundant references to the individual, becomes a creative framework present throughout the piece. Present in the light projection, the sound treatment and the physical instrument itself this image assures the conceptual clarity necessary for the delivery of this peculiar subject.

  This piece is like a seldom moment in life when, suddenly, one would be aware of everything at the same time. A broken line, twisted, but always on top of every new decision we make, every thing we undergo.Casi_Linea is the first in a series of experiments with geometric metaphors able to communicate personal observations on social phenomenons.

kitschhhhh

• about:

  This piece is a rhythm study inspired by a DIY clone of the drum machine used by Jean-Michel Jarre in its Oxygène album. Kitschhhhhh tries to blur our définition of taste and highlight the fragility of aesthetic jugement. With a mix of old-fashioned materials and contemporary methods I try to pass the pleasure I had rediscovering this "kitschy" univers that becomes fashionable again.

  Étude d' une structure synthétique et complexe construite à l'image d'un organisme vivant. Vivo y contrario veut illustrer la difficile coexistence entre la définition du progrès moderne et la nature qui nous entoure. Ce sont deux éléments, encore trop éloignés dans nos esprits, dégageant pourtant des forces saisissantes qui sont à la fois source de notre épanouissement et de notre destruction.
